FASHION STORE SINCE 1898

1898: Walter Halbach opened a store for “boys and men only” at its actual location: Louisenstr. 73, 61348 Bad Homburg, Germany. One of his customers was the last German Emperor Wilhelm the Second.

The 1930`s - economically dark, finally resulting into the second World War. The store was completely destroyed by a bomb.

By the end of World War II we started to rebuild the store at Louisenstr 73, in 1955 the property Louisenstr. 75 was acquired by the company Walter Halbach oHG. The store enlarged and womens’ clothing was added to the assortment.

1949: The first subsidiary opened in Oberursel Vorstadt, 1960 movement to a larger store at Holzweg 19-21, 61440 Oberursel, Germany.

1965: Enlargement and continuous development of the first store in Bad Homburg.

1989: The forth generation, family Gronenberg, took over leadership of Halbach.

1992: The second subsidiary opened at Hugenottenstr. 85, 61381 Friedrichsdorf.

Today: due to engaged employees presenting an up-to-date assortment, HALBACH is one of the leading fashion stores within Rhein-Main sector.
